Model 452A

API Model 452A Process Ozone Sensor The Model 452A is a microprocessor based process gas sensor for measuring high concentrations of ozone in oxygen or air. The measurement principle used by the 452A is based on the Beer-Lambert relationship applied to the absorption by ozone of UV light at 253.5nm. The 452A was designed as a full-flow process gas sensor for directly measuring the output of high concentration ozone generators. The ozone readings are temperature and pressure compensated up to 3 Bar absolute. The 452A uses two detectors, one for the ozone measurement and another to compensate for changes in UV lamp intensity. This design, combined with high quality, solar-blind UV detectors, ensure that the 452A ean operate for extended periods without maintenance or calibration. The 452 features several diagnostic status outputs for diagnosing any potential problems such as UV lamp decay or a dirty absorption cell.
